What is a segment?
At hyScore, we define a segment as an individual, comma-separated keyword or phrase list that describes a topic complex in a specific language.
These segments are not to be equated with a special categorization of content, but serve to analyze a text by full-text analysis for this specific content.
This type of segmentation, or grouping, can be used for various use cases, e.g. in online marketing for keyword white and blacklists, or in publishing to compile special topic pages for events, people, etc.
Using hyScore|segment
If hyScore|segment is enabled for your account, you can select it in the main drop-down menu (image 1.1).
Advice: Please note, that this is an add-on that has to be activated for your hyScore and user account. The dropdown-menu only appears if you've access to additional features.

You now reach the segment overview in which no segments have yet been created (image 1.2).

The segments you have created are displayed here in a list view (image 1.3). In the next versions of hyScore|segment filters, pagination and a search function will be added for the list view to increasing usability.
