In the main segment overview list ...
Click the button "Add Segment".
Now you've to fill a couple of input fields.
Segment Name
The name for the segment that you can freely assign. This name is used in the hyScore|segment list view. Ideally, it should clearly describe the segment and can consist of letters, numbers and special characters.
Segment ID
An ID to be freely assigned by you for the segment. This ID is used in the hyScore|segment list view, but is also output with the analysis result. This enables you to assign the segment on your page uniquely for automatic data processing. The ID can consist of letters, numbers and special characters.
API Key
If you have configured multiple keys in hyScore|analyze API-Key Management, select the appropriate API key on which to perform the analysis for the segment.
Note: It is currently not possible to assign one segment to several API keys. This means that you must create a segment more than once for different API keys.
IAB Code Taxonomy
You can assign the segment an IAB code that is commonly used in online marketing. The IAB code is a numeric value. The official Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB) Taxonomy / Codes can be found here: https://www.iab.com/guidelines/taxonomy/
Example:
IAB Code | Name | Tier1 | Tier2 | Tier3 | Tier4 |
583 | Men's Business Wear | Style & Fashion | Men's Fashion | Men's Clothing | Men's Business Wear |
You have to enter e.g. 583 as IAB Code.
Description
Enter a description (free text) for your segment here. This description is also displayed in the list view.
Activate / de-activate
By default, a segment is initially inactive (grey). In order for the segment to be included in the analysis, you must activate the segment (blue).
Note:
- A segment, even if it is active, is only displayed in the analysis result if keywords or phrases of the segment apply.
- To delete a segment the segment has to be deactivated!
Language
Select from the available languages. Please note that a segment will be analyzed only for the selected language. This means that if, for example, you create a segment with English keywords and phrases, you should select "English" as the language.
Keyword Match Threshold
The number of unique keywords needed for the segment to match - the default value is one(1) keyword. That means if at least one keyword matches, the segment will be shown in the results.
Assumption
- Your keyword contains exactly 100 keywords and phrases.
- You enter the value "10" at Keyword Match Threshold.
- 10 keywords correspond to 10% of the keywords and phrases that must be "unique" in the analyzed text as a minimum for the segment to be considered "matched".
- If less than 10 keywords match, the segment is not shown in the result.
Keywords (comma-separated)
The text to be analyzed, the website, etc. is analyzed according to the keywords and phrases entered here via full-text analysis.
Please separate the keywords and phrases comma-separated (without spaces).
Examples:
- Keywords (example): car, body, brakes, gears, steel rims, car tires, ...
- Phrases (example): defective exhaust system, bright fog lights, etc.
- You can, if you wish, analyze it by whole sentences.
Don't forget to save your segment.
